About me

Dr. Tiffany Chen is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children with a range of visual and ocular issues. She has expertise in diagnosing and treating refractive errors (problems that cause blurry vision, such as nearsightedness), strabismus (misalignment of the eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye) and other eye conditions in babies and kids. She also collaborates with other health care professionals to manage children's visual development and optimize their eye health. Her goal is to provide individualized, compassionate care.

Chen's research endeavors revolve around investigating health outcomes associated with pediatric eye disorders. She is also passionate about improving both patient care and resident surgical education through effective initiatives.

Chen earned her medical degree at Stanford University. She completed a residency in ophthalmology at UCSF, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Boston Children's Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, American Academy of Ophthalmology, California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and Frederick C. Cordes Eye Society.

Outside of work, Chen enjoys exploring the beautiful nature of Northern California, playing with her feline companion, and hosting spontaneous dinners or other social gatherings with friends and colleagues.
