About me
Dr. Sarika Aggarwal is a pediatric gastroenterologist who cares for children with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), eosinophilic diseases (unusually high numbers of a particular type of eosinophils in the gut), malnutrition, liver disease and disorders of gut-brain interaction. She especially appreciates caring for children with IBD, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, and has a particular interest in the important role nutrition plays in their health and well-being. She partners closely with children and their families to provide compassionate and comprehensive care, and she is committed to helping children with gastrointestinal conditions thrive.
Aggarwal earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Mangalore, India. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
In addition to caring for patients, Aggarwal is passionate about improving access to pediatric subspecialty care, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and developing systems that make high-quality care more accessible to children and families. She is an active member of ImproveCareNow, a collaborative network of physicians, researchers, and parents working together to improve the quality and consistency of care for children with IBD.
When not working, Aggarwal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as travelling and exploring new places.
