About me

Elizabeth R. Silvers is a nurse practitioner who cares for children with neurodevelopmental differences. She specializes in autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning differences, developmental delays, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. She has expertise in primary care, adolescent eating disorders and pediatric psychiatry. She takes a comprehensive approach to patient care, seeking to manage symptoms, foster growth that includes all aspects of human well-being, and enhance quality of life for both children and their families. She collaborates closely with families and teams of other specialists to devise care plans that incorporate medical, behavioral and psychosocial techniques. Her goal is to ensure each child receives compassionate, effective care tailored to optimize their specific developmental journey.

Silvers' clinical interests include eating disorders and neurodiversity (normal differences in how human brains function). She has published on these topics in professional journals and spoken about them to national and community organizations.

Silvers earned her master's degree in nursing at the Yale School of Nursing. She is board certified as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist.

Silvers is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and serves as a board member for its special interest group on developmental, behavioral and mental health. She is also a member of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
