About me
Dr. Elizabeth Seashore is a specialist in both pediatric oncology and pediatric palliative care. As an oncologist, she cares for children undergoing treatment for blood cancers and solid tumors. In her role as a palliative care doctor, she collaborates with a diverse team of providers to focus on quality of life and comfort for children with serious illnesses. She also directs a supportive care clinic for children with blood cancers and other blood diseases where she collaborates with pain and integrative medicine specialists to relieve patients' symptoms while addressing the needs of the entire child and family.
In research, Seashore is interested in advancing education in palliative care for all doctors and particularly for trainees in pediatric hematology-oncology and other pediatric specialties. She also studies the effects of early palliative care involvement for children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.
Seashore earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at New York – Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. At Baylor College of Medicine, she completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology as well as a fellowship in pediatric hospice and palliative medicine.
