About me

David Hoskins is a psychologist who cares for individuals, families and groups. He specializes in trauma-focused therapy, family systems theory and pediatric psychology.

Hoskins' research focuses on examining unmet behavioral health needs – including psychiatric symptoms, substance use and sexual risk behaviors – in the primary care setting and within the juvenile justice system. He is also interested in supporting the Latinx community and in providing culturally attuned mental health services for youths who have experienced interpersonal trauma.

Hoskins earned his doctor of psychology degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He completed a master of advanced study degree in clinical research at UCSF. He has been a participant in the American Psychological Association's Minority Fellowship Program.

Hoskins has received numerous honors, including awards from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Drug Abuse and National Institute on Minority Health Disparities.
