About me

Austin Yang is a psychologist who assesses and cares for children and adolescents with a wide range of complicated issues, such as a history of prenatal substance exposure, complex trauma (symptoms resulting from chronic negative experiences), foster care, and adoption (domestic or international).

Yang earned her doctorate in psychology, with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology, from the Chicago School. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship focused on fetal alcohol syndrome at the Marcus Autism Center, part of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Prior to joining UCSF, Yang provided comprehensive psychological evaluations for underserved children and adolescents with complex behavioral health concerns at Children's Research Triangle, a community-based not-for-profit in Chicago.
